Because of the 25th of April being ANZAC day, we decided it would be a great idea to honour an amazingly talented Kiwi Scrapper.


Here Nic tells us a little about herself:



I have been a scrapbooker for 9 years. If I'm not scrapbooking on any given day, I'm thinking about journaling , page topics or something I want to do on my next project. Scrapbooking seems to fit in with what I want to acheive in life - I love savouring the day, I find joy in the small things that used to pass me by, and I have my camera ready to photograph them.



My children are 9, 7 and 4. I love these ages! We get out and about and do fun stuff, they still love being with Mum and Dad , and they are soaking up all the world has to offer. I guess on looking inwards at myself I'm a little sentimental and I'm secretly terrified I'm going to forget some of the amazing stuff we are experiencing - time goes all too fast!


I'm involved in several design teams both locally and within the U.S.A. It's been part of my scrapbooking agenda since about 2003 but to date my largest and most fulfilling accomplishment is the completion of a sole authored book, "That's Life" released in 2007 through a publishing company in the USA. It was through writing this book I learnt to appreciate the little things that make me a scrapbooker - and I learnt to create pages about them. The release of my book has led to more amazing opportunities, including 3 classes which are due to release on Big Picture Scrapbooking any day.



And so, without further ado, here it is, THE layout!!!!!!

SARAH VAN WIJCK YOU HAVE BEEN SCRAPJACKED!

Hi I’m Sarah and I live in Sydney’s Northern Beaches with my husband and 2 small boys.

I’ve been scrapping for about 18 months after stumbling across the work of Ali Edwards, but have always made ‘stuff’ out of paper. I am a graphic designer, so for me scrapbooking is just an extension of what I have done for years – I just didn’t realise there were so many people out there who also had an obsession with paper J

Along with scrapping I love photography and am always dabbling in some sort of other art or craft.

For the past year I have been a member of the For Keeps Magazine Elite Team and have been part of a number of store design teams. My work has been published in magazines and idea books in the US, UK as well as Australia. I also have designed a couple of rubber stamp sets which has been a lot of fun (you can see them here - VakeDesign.etsy.com)

CELESTE VERMEEND, YOU HAVE BEEN SCRAPJACKED!

Finally LOL. Sorry about the delay everyone, but half the scrapjacked team were in Sydney at the paper and craft festival lining up some more fabulous Aussie scrappers for you to jack!

So, on to this months wonderful Jack! Celeste is an amazingly talented scrapper who is part of the for keeps design team.

Here Celeste tells us a little about herself.

HI I am Celeste. I live in Buninyong, Victoria with my husband of 8yrs Rod; and my three daughters, Hallie, Jemma and Grace.

I started scrapbooking after my twin girls were born and made a decision to scrap only photos I had taken from that time on. I wasn't about to backtrack and redo all the birth photos of my first child! I have stuck to my guns and instead have proceeded to enure that my photos are better quality!

I love my digi SLR and love taking photos almost as much as scrapbooking!

I am not sure that I have a style. I will give anything a go..But I do like my pages to appear balanced.

I am not a huge fan of 'off the page', but will make something if it has a definitve purpose, or is for a special gift.

I occaisonally make cards and I always make a special card for the girls birthday.

I love a new product - like most scrappers I think!

I have my own scraproom, which I also share as a creative space with my daughters and the computer lives there too. Quite often you can fin every member of our family in that one room!

I love the challenge scrapping brings and that my pages have a purpose, to keep my families memories forever.

At last count I had 18 albums for 4 years of scrapping - addicted much?I am honoured to be scrapjacked!

Yep, thats right, this amazingly talented Aussie scrapper is ours to jack for the month!

Here, Megan tells us a little about herself.

Hello to all the visitors of Aussie Scrapjacked! I’m Megan Stephenson, and I live in the Hunter Valley with my husband Ned, and two little girls Olivia and Charlotte.

I love scrapping for so many reasons….to record precious memories of my girls and my friends, to keep a timeline of how badly my husband and I are aging….but one of the things I love the most is being involved with so many people, both online and in real life, and sharing the passion we have for the craft.

And the Aussie Scrapjack site does this in such a cool way – what’s better than Jacking a layout somebody else has already done, and be in the running for some great prizes along the way?!

So here is my layout for you…this is my daughter Charlotte who just LOVES being in the rain and listening to it fall on her umbrella. This crazy child gives me heaps of photo opportunities!

Yes Ladies, this amazing scrapper is our jack for the month! I could say heaps about her, but she has said it so well herself, so here is a little about Ngaire :)

About me:

Ten things you may not know and may not want to know!! LOLOL:

I would love to be a biker chick, and hope we can buy a Harley when Paul retires. One of the ones with a huge seat with arms.:)

I am a bit of a prude.

I am also rather eccentric.

I am terrified of toads, they make me physically ill. Spiders and snakes don’t worry me at all.
My eyes are green with a navy blue rim, and orange flecks.

I am addicted to crossword scratchies and back scratches.

I have my new scrap studio planned in my head… all except the wall colours, ( I am leaning towards a wall of strawberry pink, with red gingham accents..)

I love colour, buttons and ribbons, my favourite paper range is without doubt Basic Grey.

I want another tattoo.

I am very A type, and hate to be wrong.

I love an argument, and like EVERYTHING to be in it’s place.

I hate disorganisation, clutter and mess.

I have strangely small feet and hands for my height.

My scrap space :·

is in the entrance to our home.· Is painted a deep yellow/green and has polished wood floors· Is too small for my needs.· Has cupboards and draws from Ikea· Is cluttered and has a huge window to outside.· Has an antique printers draw for stamp storage.· Have I mentioned it is too small for my needs??· Could do with a good clean up.· Is a part of me.. and a reflection on my taste and my eccentricities.

My Name is Ngaire Bartlam. I live in Brissie Qld , with my darling husband of 15 years Paul, and our girls Georgie and Belle. We have two cats, Rueben and Boo Boo, and a dog, Dougal. A veteran aussie scrapper of 8 ½ years, I have written two books : Lumpy Bumpy and my new book released last year: “Its all about YOU”.I regularly create for Fiskars, Scrapbook Creations, and Tarisota Collections. A long term tutor for the ISC conventions, I am now a free lance artist and instructor.I scrap about just about everything.. the good and the bad. The little things and the big, . , My family and friends, and I like to also take the time to create layouts for and about me. My passion is to encourage All women to do the same thing.. as both a record of their family and future generation, and more importantly as a release and as a affirmation of themselves.
